He gained extensive experience in the field of trading and sales, as well as debt and equity capital markets during his tenure as the Head of Global Markets. In 2000, he was appointed as an Executive Director of Deutsche Bank (M) Berhad and promoted to be the Chief Executive Officer in 2002 and held the position till September 2006. Mr. Kuah was a former Treasurer and Director of Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Star Publications (Malaysia) Berhad. He has also served as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee for Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP), part of Institut Bank-Bank Malaysia and managed by Bank Negara Malaysia. He is currently the Independent Non-Executive Director of Alliance Investment Bank Berhad, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad and MPHB Capital Berhad.
